About The Position

Administer employee benefits and leave programs as a trusted resource, providing compassionate support while accurately managing enrollments, audits, invoice reconciliation, payroll deductions, leave tracking, and recordkeeping.

  • Fluency in Spanish preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment serving high volumes of employees and/or customers preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience administering leave programs, including FMLA, applicable state leave programs, and Short-Term Disability preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience with self-funded benefit plans preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience planning and executing all aspects of annual Benefits Open Enrollment preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience with 401(k) retirement plan administration preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience with creating, promoting, and administering engaging employee wellness programs preferred

Responsibilities

  • Answer employee questions about benefit eligibility, coverage, enrollment, payroll deductions, claims, and procedures
  • Guide employees through new hire enrollment, qualifying life events, coverage changes, and termination of coverage
  • Work with benefit carriers, consultants, and service providers to resolve eligibility, enrollment, and claim-related issues
  • Help employees understand and access available health and well-being resources
  • Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations and coordinate applicable payroll deductions
  • Review benefit elections and supporting documentation for compliance with plan requirements
  • Audit HRIS and carrier records to identify and correct discrepancies
  • Review, reconcile, and submit benefit invoices for payment
  • Prepare monthly benefit deduction reports for Finance
  • Complete dependent eligibility audits, including verification of full-time student status when applicable
  • Assist with COBRA administration and annual Forms 1095-C
  • Assist with 401(k) retirement plan administration
  • Administer leave requests from initial notice through return to work or exhaustion of available leave
  • Determine eligibility for FMLA and applicable state leave programs, issue required notices, and review supporting documentation
  • Track leave usage accurately in the applicable leave and timekeeping systems
  • Coordinate Short-Term Disability payments through the appropriate process
  • Monitor benefit deductions during leave and coordinate direct payments when necessary
  • Maintain regular and empathetic communication with employees and managers throughout the leave process
  • Assist with annual open enrollment planning, employee communications, and benefits education
  • Coordinate wellness fairs, screenings, immunization events, and wellness challenges
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential benefit and leave records
  • Support special projects and events as assigned
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable company policies and procedures to provide employees with timely and accurate information
  • Help ensure that all company policies and procedures are uniformly followed and enforced
  • Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
  • Complete the annual CTPAT Security Training
  • Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
  • Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
  • Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary
