About The Position

The Benefits Specialist is a key member of the Total Rewards team, responsible for administering and managing employee benefits programs globally. This role ensures our benefits offerings remain competitive, compliant, and clearly communicated to all employees.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in global benefits administration, including in-depth knowledge of US and non-US benefits, regulations, leave requirements, and key international market practices
  • Proven experience managing open enrollment and utilizing benefits enrollment systems
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex information clearly and empathetically.
  • Self-starter with proven ability to work independently
  • Experience with a global HRIS platform (UKG preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily administration of global benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, retirement plans, time off, and leave of absence.
  • Process, audit, and submit monthly benefits invoices.
  • Coordinate with global brokers, vendors, and carriers for program delivery and issue resolution.
  • Partner closely with People Operations, Payroll, and other cross functional teams
  • Serve as a resource for employees, answering complex questions about plan provisions, eligibility, enrollment, and claims.
  • Create and manage clear, comprehensive benefits communications and resources (e.g., summaries, guides, intranet content) to ensure high employee understanding and engagement.
  • Manage all aspects of open enrollment, including system configuration, employee education, and processing accurate enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations in the U.S. (e.g., COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA) and international statutory reporting requirements, including the preparation of required government filings (e.g., 5500s, ACA)
  • Conduct periodic data audits to ensure integrity and compliance with plan documents.
  • Support benefit plan design and analysis by benchmarking current offerings
  • Analyze utilization data to measure program effectiveness and inform strategy
  • Propose process improvements and innovative solutions
