About The Position

In this dynamic full-time role, you’ll play a critical part in supporting approximately 500 employees by administering employee benefits programs, guiding team members through leave and Workers’ Compensation processes, and ensuring compliance with HR laws and regulations. As a Benefits Specialist, you will serve as a trusted HR resource while supporting employees throughout their employment journey.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources benefits-related role
  • Proficiency with: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams), Adobe, Zoom, Email and internet systems
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and technology
  • Ability to successfully pass FBI & DOJ background clearances
  • Current TB test completed within the last 6 months

Responsibilities

  • Administer and coordinate employee benefit programs including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, Retirement plans, COBRA administration, Flexible spending accounts, Workers’ Compensation, Leave of absence programs (FMLA, CFRA, PDL, PFL, and ADA)
  • Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations while maintaining accurate HR and benefits records
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions related to: Benefits coverage, Retirement plans, Leave entitlements, Workers’ Compensation claims, HR policies and procedures
  • Manage leave administration and Workers’ Compensation cases by collaborating with employees, supervisors, medical providers, and third-party administrators
  • Coordinate and support open enrollment activities and employee benefits presentations
  • Assist with OSHA compliance, safety programs, and required recordkeeping
  • Support employee relations initiatives including: Workplace investigations, Conflict resolution, Progressive discipline guidance, HR policy interpretation
  • Partner with leadership to foster a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment
