About The Position

Provide secretarial support to the Business Manager in a manner that is professional, diplomatic, and complies with confidentiality requirements. This role involves maintaining health benefits for district employees and retirees, administering invoices, enrollments, terminations, and payments. The position also serves as the primary contact for various benefit plans, manages open enrollment, coordinates with vendors and staff, and handles Workman's Compensation claims. Additionally, the role involves tracking ACA activity, assisting with 1095 form distribution, processing direct certification for lunch programs, reporting to the state for the School Nutrition Program, and performing general clerical duties.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required
  • Submission of pre-employment medical examination (Section 148 of the Pennsylvania School Code)
  • Submission of a report of criminal history record from the Pennsylvania State Police (Section 111 of the Pennsylvania School Code)
  • FBI Criminal History Record
  • Submission of a clearance report from the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare in accordance with Act 151 of 1994
  • Must have current Act 34, 151 & 114 Clearances

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all health benefits for district employees and district retirees.
  • Administer invoices, enrollments, terminations and payments.
  • Orient new hired employees to Pottsgrove’s benefit plans.
  • Serve as primary contact for health benefits, FSA, and 403B.
  • Serve as primary contact for open enrollment with vendors and staff.
  • Manage the District’s open enrollment activities.
  • Maintain continuous communication with Payroll for appropriate premium deductions.
  • Serve as Workman’s Compensation coordinator; receive all injury documentation and forward to the insurance company.
  • Maintain continuous communication with workers compensation provider.
  • Track and record all ACA activity.
  • Work with the 1095 provider for yearly 1095 form distributions.
  • Assist with the planning of FSA open enrollment and communicate elections with the provider.
  • Communicate elections to the Payroll Department.
  • Perform reconciliation of residency as required by Act 80.
  • Perform clerical duties including but not limited to answering phones, receiving visitors, typing documents, maintaining files, and processing mail.
  • Process Direct Certification (DC) eligibility for free/reduced lunch.
  • Report to the State for claim processing of the School Nutrition Program.
  • Report DC eligibility to Sunbucks administration.
  • Update all POS systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Business Administrator.
