About The Position

Alcott HR is searching for a Benefits Solutions Consultant to support our employee benefits services and serve as a key resource for products, carrier relationships, plan design strategy, and benefits administration. As part of a Professional Employer Organization (PEO), this role helps employers leverage the expertise and buying power of Alcott's benefits platform to enhance their employee programs. This role works closely with sales, implementation, client service, underwriting and service teams to help deliver effective benefits solutions for clients and prospects. The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of employee benefits and the consultative skills necessary to advise employers, prospects, brokers, and internal stakeholders on strategic benefits decisions. They are equally comfortable explaining a complex funding arrangement to a CFO, training internal teams on a new product offering, or troubleshooting a challenging enrollment issue. This individual will play an important role in maintaining Alcott's competitive benefits portfolio, supporting growth initiatives, and helping clients maximize the value of their employee benefits programs.

Requirements

  • 3 + years of employee benefits experience
  • Strong understanding of group health insurance products and employee benefits programs.
  • Experience advising employers on benefits strategy.
  • Strong presentation and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and benefits administration technology.
  • Knowledge of underwriting methodologies and renewal analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a PEO brokerage, carrier, consulting, or benefits administration environment strongly preferred.
  • Health insurance producer license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain detailed knowledge of carrier products, network structures, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary, and ancillary benefit offerings.
  • Working knowledge of funding arrangements, and employee benefits trends.
  • Support the development and maintenance of benefit product documentation, training materials, and client-facing resources.
  • Consult with prospective and existing clients on benefit plan options, employee experience considerations, and benefits best practices.
  • Participate in meetings, sales presentations, and strategic client discussions.
  • Assist employers in balancing competitiveness, affordability, compliance, and workforce objectives.
  • Explain funding arrangements and carrier options to clients and prospects, partnering with team members on more complex analyses.
  • Partner with sales consultants to position Alcott's benefits offerings effectively.
  • Conduct benefits-focused discovery conversations with prospects.
  • Assist in responding to RFPs and complex prospect inquiries.
  • Support preparation of competitive comparisons and proposal materials.
  • Collaborate on broker and referral partner education initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support client and prospect needs.
  • Share benefits knowledge and market insights with colleagues.
  • Assist with client-facing educational materials and presentations.
  • Serve as a trusted benefits resource for clients throughout the plan year.
  • Assist clients with benefits-related questions, enrollment concerns, and plan education.
  • Conduct employee benefit meetings and open enrollment presentations.
  • Partner with implementation and client service teams to support a positive client experience.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and employee engagement.

Benefits

  • Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 annually commensurate with experience.
