About The Position

The Benefits Representative is responsible for the design, development, implementation and ongoing administration of assigned health & welfare benefit plans. This role will participate in the development, implementation and administration of employee and retiree benefit programs. The representative will conduct research and analysis related to health and welfare benefit plans and develop sound recommendations. They will also educate HR team members, employees and retirees on benefit plans, policies and procedures, and advise on eligibility, coverage, claim procedures, and other benefits matters. This position functions as a liaison to benefit vendor partners, participates in annual open enrollment and HR projects, and provides support to the HR Help Desk team. Ensuring compliance with benefit-related laws, maintaining company plan documents, monitoring Affordable Care Act (ACA) status, and monitoring plan enrollment and audit records are also key responsibilities. The role involves working closely with IT and HR Analytics, participating in audit inquiries, analyzing benefits data and reporting requests, and seeking process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 4-7 years relevant experience, or 7 years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Understanding of HR functional areas.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Oracle proficiency.
  • Strong communication, organization and analytical skills.
