About The Position

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Benefits Intake Specialist to join our team in a hybrid capacity. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in helping patients access therapies by ensuring accurate and timely insurance verification, intake processing, and communication with key stakeholders. You’ll collaborate closely with patients, providers, payers, and internal teams to streamline the benefits and intake process—helping patients start their care journey as quickly and smoothly as possible.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in benefits verification, patient intake, or reimbursement support
  • Working knowledge of commercial insurance and government plans (Medicare/Medicaid)
  • Comfort reaching out to insurance payers to obtain accurate information
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with healthcare systems, EMRs, or CRM platforms

Responsibilities

  • Review, process, and manage patient referrals and intake documentation
  • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, deductibles, and out-of-pocket maximums across commercial and government payers (Medicare/Medicaid)
  • Assess DME (Durable Medical Equipment) coverage and requirements
  • Communicate coverage details, financial responsibilities, and next steps clearly to patients and providers
  • Extract patient data from portals and accurately complete intake forms for the sales team
  • Maintain precise and timely data entry in CRM and case management systems
  • Track pending authorizations and follow up on missing information or documentation
  • Act as a key liaison between patients, providers, payers, and internal teams
  • Partner closely with sales, reimbursement, clinical, and operations teams to resolve intake issues
