About The Position

RBC offers an exciting role as a Benefits Delivery Consultant. In this role you will administer strategic decisions and supervise the day-to-day affairs of a group’s benefits programs including valuation/reconciliation, various testing/analysis, and required reporting. You will apply complete knowledge, skills, and practices to perform assignments.

Requirements

  • 5 years experience in a Benefit Administration role, knowledge of benefits policies, practices, and related governance and legislation.
  • CEBS or CHRP and related human resource experience.
  • Excellent technical skills in Excel including VLookup, Pivot Tables.
  • Statistical experience, data analysis, data management, planned reporting, reconciliation, escalations and investigations.
  • Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP, Workday, Service Now, BenPlus, BenFlex experience would be an asset.
  • 2+ years Retiree Benefits administration experience is an asset.
  • Bilingual in French would also be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and validate plan records to include census, contributions, claims, reimbursements, investments, insurance and other plan data as well as ongoing valuation, calculation and reconciliation of plan assets.
  • Perform plan testing to include qualification, discrimination and stress testing, as well as plan reporting in accordance with plan changes and requirements.
  • Provide high level of customer service to benefit plan participants and service providers by responding to calls and facilitating requests addressing plan provisions, benefits, coverage elections, premium deductions and refunds, information updates, changes, etc.
  • Handle complex calculations, inquiries and issues, and contribute to overall plan design/selection and continual improvement.
  • Help to evaluate and refine benefits processes; participate in the implementation of new or enhanced benefits programs.
  • Execute and support program recommendations with fact-based analysis to advance benefits strategies, ensuring programs are aligned with business objectives and HR strategy.
  • Support the development, design and financial management of benefit programs, including annual monitoring and obtaining of approvals for implementation of changes in the programs for active and retired employees.
