About The Position

The Benefits Coordinator is the operational face of Blattner’s benefits team — the dedicated resource that ensures day-to-day benefits administration is accurate, timely, and employee-focused. This role supports all lanes of the benefits team: retirement; health and welfare; well-being; leave administration and operations. FMLA eligibility determination is a distinct responsibility of this role — separate from case management, which remains with the Leave Advisor.

Requirements

  • 3 - 4 years of HR, benefits administration, or related experience required.
  • Familiarity with FMLA eligibility requirements and leave administration processes required.
  • Working knowledge of federal benefit laws including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume, detail-oriented administrative work with accuracy and consistency.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with benefits systems (JDE E1, Workday, or similar HRIS) preferred.
  • FMLA Eligibility Knowledge – Working knowledge of FMLA eligibility criteria, required documentation, and determination timelines; able to apply criteria accurately and communicate outcomes clearly to employees and managers.
  • Benefits Administration – Familiarity with health and welfare, retirement, and leave program administration; able to process transactions accurately in HRIS systems and identify data discrepancies.

Responsibilities

  • Provides customer service by functioning as a liaison between Quanta and employees regarding benefit plans, responding timely to employee questions via emails, phone calls or ServiceNow requests.
  • Advises employees on benefit eligibility, coverage, and other benefit matters.
  • First point of contact for our benefit team.
  • Escalates complex or sensitive situations to the appropriate Sr. Benefits Analyst or Leave Advisor.
  • Partners with the site teams to ensure they have inventory of all benefit materials.
  • Distributes weekly/monthly/quarterly paid sick leave reports to sites.
  • Schedules and meet with new project site teams to review the state sick leave process.
  • Maintains weekly benefit file by uploading/entering new benefit elections into the payroll system.
  • Confirms benefit elections, audits file accuracy, weekly arrears reporting and validating deductions in the payroll system.
  • Ensures the appropriate benefits are transferred on the file and the deduction amounts uploaded into the payroll system are accurate.
