About The Position

We are looking for a determined and resourceful person to complete our Human Resources team. Reporting to the National Director, Human Resources and Payroll, the Benefits Coordinator will be responsible for the administration of programs and the day-to-day management of employee files related to the benefits of Patterson Dental Canada Inc., including but not limited to Group insurance plans and Group savings and retirement plan, in accordance with the guidelines established by Patterson Dental Canada Inc. This is a 6 to 9 months contract position.

Requirements

  • Diploma of college studies in human resources, or any other relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years' experience in group insurance and pension investments.
  • Organized and good data analysis skills.
  • Good empathy and active listening skills.
  • Exceptional telephone and in-person interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough and independent.
  • Strong ability to identify problems and find solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written French and English.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sickness absence, workplace accident and authorized leave files.
  • Be the contact person for all employee inquiries.
  • Ensure liaison with suppliers on day-to-day file administration.
  • Keep up-to-date HRIS systems for insurers and other suppliers.
  • Produce and validate monthly account statements for customer/disability invoicing.
  • Ensure appropriate taxable contributions and benefits are made in each pay period.
  • Produce monthly invoices from insurers and reconcile them with the databases.
  • Guide employees through the various processes related to employee benefits and/or work-related accidents.
  • Produce various reports required by management.
  • Conduct periodic audits of various employer/supplier databases.
  • Support the manager with various cost scenarios as requested.
  • Perform other tasks as requested or required.
