About The Position

Our benefits administrator is the internal liaison among the employee, provider, and insurance carrier to resolve benefits-related issues, ensure positive employee relations, and work towards effective utilization of programs. He or she will ensure accuracy, compliance, comprehension, problem resolution, and timely updates to benefits for all eligible or inactive employees. He or she will reconcile billing for group benefit plans, resolves discrepancies, prepares correspondence and reports, and works closely with payroll, fiscal, and benefits broker. Additional responsibilities include keeping up to date on regulations related to benefits, execution of annual open enrollment process, consistent pursuit of professional development, ensuring benefit plan filings as required by law, and serving as back-up to the human resources generalist.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A total of three years of experience related to benefits administration, human resources, finance, or similar office work.
  • A maximum of two years of experience may be substituted with equivalent education or certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a benefits role with an Applicable Large Employer (ALE) preferred.
