About The Position

This role supports management in the administration of various health, welfare, and retirement benefits programs, ensuring consistency with company goals and standards. The administrator will research and resolve benefit issues, coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders, and provide a high level of responsiveness to employees and service providers. Key responsibilities include managing enrollments, file feeds, compliance monitoring, reconciling statements, maintaining statistical data, managing documentation, and computing payroll deductions.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years in benefits administration/coordinator or similar role
  • Working knowledge of laws and regulations for proper administration of employee benefit programs
  • Ability to make independent decisions and resolve employee relation issues; ability to handle sensitive personnel matters in a confidential fashion
  • Strong organizational skills and tendencies; the ability to work on multiple tasks and projects concurrently; extremely detail oriented
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications, interpersonal skills as well as strong presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Benefits administration experience in an HRIS (Workday, Oracle, ADP or similar) preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) helpful, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Support management in administration of various health, welfare, and retirement benefits programs (e.g., medical/prescription, dental, vision, FSA, life, STD, LTD, 401(k), ESOP, etc.)
  • Ensures that administration of employee benefit programs remain consistent with the goals and standards established by Wright Service Corp.
  • Research and resolve benefit issues, partnering with internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Provides a high level of responsiveness and proactive approach to problem resolution with employees and service providers
  • Coordinates with multiple service providers regarding benefit processes such as plan changes and enrollments
  • Coordinates with multiple service providers to successfully execute file feeds and status changes to ensure accuracy and timely processing
  • Assists with monitoring service providers for compliance with established contractual agreements and governmental requirements
  • Reconciles monthly statements for various benefit plans, coordinates discrepancies with service providers and remits statements for payment
  • Maintains statistical data relative to premiums, claims, costs, and utilization
  • Manage benefits documentation in various filing methods both electronic and paper
  • Computes payroll deduction changes, prepares appropriate forms, and sets up payroll deductions in accordance with established policies
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as required
