About The Position

dormakaba is seeking a U.S. Benefits Administrator (hybrid) based in Indianapolis, IN. The Benefits Administrator is responsible for managing the accurate, compliant, and daily operational execution of dormakaba’s health, retirement, leave, and wellbeing program. This role ensures our workforce feels supported and valued, directly contributing to organizational trust, retention, and operational continuity.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience administering U.S. health and welfare and retirement plans, ideally in a corporate, multi-vendor environment
  • Demonstrated ownership of multiple annual open enrollment cycles, with documented improvements in either employee experience or operational accuracy
  • Working knowledge of benefits regulations including ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, Section 105(h), Section 125, and the SECURE Act
  • Proficiency with a major HRIS platform (e.g., SuccessFactors, ADP Workforce Now) and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and large-dataset analysis

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline (equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • One or more of the following certifications strongly preferred: CEBS, CBP, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP
  • Demonstrated ability to explain complex benefits information in a clear, approachable manner and adapt communication style to meet the needs of a diverse employee population with varying levels of access to technology
  • Bilingual communication skills strongly preferred, particularly English/Spanish or English/French

Responsibilities

  • Administer the company's health and welfare programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, short- and long-term disability, FSA, HSA, COBRA, and supplemental voluntary benefits
  • Oversee operational administration of the 401(k) plan and SERP non-qualified deferred compensation plan
  • Partner in the end-to-end execution of annual open enrollment with the benefits broker, carriers, Benefits Lead and HRIS resources
  • Maintain the regulatory compliance posture of the benefits program across HIPAA, ERISA, ACA, COBRA, Section 125, Section 105(h), and SECURE Act requirements
