About The Position

The Center for Social Dynamics (CSD) is seeking a Part-Time Benefits Administrator to join their dynamic and growing team. This role is responsible for administering and supporting CSD's employee benefits programs, serving as a trusted resource for employees, coordinating enrollments, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance, and partnering with internal teams and external vendors. The position is part-time, non-exempt, working 20-25 hours per week, with a pay rate of $36.00–$40.00 per hour, and offers a hybrid work environment with growth and development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in benefits administration, human resources, payroll, or a related field.
  • Experience administering employee benefit programs and working with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) preferred.
  • Experience supporting annual Open Enrollment and employee benefit communications strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of employee benefits administration and applicable federal and state employment laws.
  • Familiarity with COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, ERISA, FMLA, and other benefits-related compliance requirements.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex benefit information clearly and professionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience with HRIS and benefits administration platforms preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information.

Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Health Savings Accounts (HSA), and wellness programs.
  • Process benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, annual Open Enrollment elections, employee status changes, and terminations accurately and within established timelines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries by providing guidance on eligibility, plan options, enrollment procedures, and claims-related questions.
  • Coordinate and support the annual Open Enrollment process, including employee communications, educational materials, information sessions, and enrollment assistance.
  • Maintain accurate employee benefit records within HRIS and benefits administration systems.
  • Audit benefit data and resolve discrepancies between HRIS, payroll, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators.
  • Reconcile monthly benefit invoices and partner with Payroll to ensure accurate employee deductions and employer contributions.
  • Collaborate with insurance carriers, brokers, vendors, and third-party administrators to resolve enrollment issues, eligibility concerns, and benefit-related requests.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, including COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, ERISA, FMLA, and other benefits-related requirements.
  • Support benefit audits, reporting requirements, compliance documentation, and regulatory filings.
  • Prepare reports, analyze benefit utilization, and provide data to support benefit program administration and decision-making.
  • Assist with employee communications regarding benefit updates, wellness initiatives, and policy changes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee records and sensitive information while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Support Human Resources initiatives and perform additional HR-related duties and special projects as assigned.
