About The Position

Scott Insurance is seeking a Benefits Account Manager to service client accounts from beginning to end. The role manages open enrollment requirements, facilitates presentations, provides product and service information, and serves as an employee benefits subject matter expert. The account manager works closely with production teams and collaborates across functions to support business outcomes. This is a hybrid position based in Raleigh, North Carolina, with three days in the office and two days remote each week.

Requirements

At least 2 years of benefits administration experience.
Active Life & Health license, or ability to obtain a license within 90 days of employment.
Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and requests effectively.
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Excel.

Nice To Haves

BA/BS degree, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
CEBS designation.
Experience with the ZyWave suite and Brokerage Builder.

Responsibilities

Manage the full-cycle renewal process for assigned clients, prepare proposals, and conduct market research to support new and renewal business.
Provide customer service to group administrators by answering coverage questions and triaging claim issues.
Work with Scott’s accounting division to reconcile commission shortages and overages, and communicate regularly with insurance carriers.
Document renewal activities, including RFPs, proposals, and emails, in Applied Epic and Zywave’s Brokerage Builder.
Collaborate with production team members on client needs and requests.
Attend networking events and seminars to stay current on industry changes and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
