About The Position

The Bend/Press/Weld Associate operates machinery to fabricate parts. This includes loading parts, cycling machines, detecting operational malfunctions, and running production lots. The associate communicates with coworkers about production runs and maintains a safe, organized, and clean work environment. The role requires setting up, adjusting, and operating equipment to meet specifications, monitoring product quality, and completing required documentation.

Responsibilities

Learn complex equipment, processes, and tooling setups.
Troubleshoot press and bender issues.
Complete routine equipment and tooling preventive maintenance.
Meet routing rates in a fast-paced environment.
Perform assigned machine operations.
Read job specifications, including blueprints, and use calipers and measurements to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
Select appropriate equipment and methods based on requirements.
Set up, adjust, and operate machinery and equipment to fabricate parts to specifications.
Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
Ensure work is performed safely and consistently and meets quality standards.
Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions.
Check parts against drawing specifications and tolerances using appropriate measurement and inspection equipment.
Inspect fabricated end products for accuracy and flaws.
Identify, tag, and remove non-conforming materials.
Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
Communicate with other departments as necessary.
Keep work areas clean and organized.
Adhere to company rules and policies.
Perform other related duties as assigned by a supervisor.
