About The Position

The Bench Tech is responsible for maintaining and repairing gaming machines and cage kiosks. This role involves reviewing slot actions to ensure hardware and software are correct and ready prior to installation, maintaining the accuracy of the Casino’s software tracking system, and assigning projects and work assignments to other technicians. The Bench Tech will also provide technical support as required by the Slot Manager and supervise the testing of production products to ensure proper operation. A key part of this role is troubleshooting electronics down to the component level to identify and resolve issues, recognizing failures, isolating obstacles, and taking appropriate action. The position also involves supervising the operation of meters, power supplies, service monitors, and test fixtures, and ensuring order requests are input accurately and timely to maintain stock levels. Additionally, the Bench Tech will oversee physical inventories of parts, materials, supplies, equipment, and tools.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required, unless otherwise waived by Human Resources Management.
  • One (1) year of inventory control experience.
  • Slot machine knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Must possess strong troubleshooting (to component level), problem solving skills.
  • Must possess strong analog, digital, video, and mechanical skills.
  • Must possess extensive experience using video generators, hand tools, and excellent soldering skills.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen with negative results.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair gaming machines and cage kiosks.
  • Review slot actions to ensure hardware and software are correct, and ready prior to install date.
  • Maintain the accuracy of the Casino’s software tracking system.
  • Assign projects and work assignments to Bench Technicians and Preventative Maintenance Technicians.
  • Provide other technical support to positions that may be required by the Slot Manager.
  • Supervise the testing of production products to ensure proper operation per established test criteria.
  • Responsible for completion of troubleshooting electronics, down to the component level, to determine cause and ensure issues are resolved.
  • Recognize failures and set up problems, isolate obstacles, and take appropriate action to resolve all issues identified.
  • Supervise the operation of meters, power supplies, service monitors and test fixtures, and understand their use and function.
  • Ensure order requests are input accurately and timely to maintain required stock levels.
  • Oversee physical inventories of parts, materials, supplies, equipment, and tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
