About The Position

Alstar Group of Companies Ltd. is seeking certified Journeyman B-Pressure Welders to join their Fabrication department in SE Calgary. This is a direct employment opportunity for individuals with proven experience in pressure pipe welding, ideally within the oil and gas industry. The role requires a commitment to high-quality welds, accurate blueprint interpretation, and a strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Requirements

• Journeyman Pipefitter or Journeyman Welder certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a bench fitter, demonstrating proficiency in fabrication techniques.
• Familiarity with various pipe materials/grades
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Knowledge of safety procedures and practices related to pipefitting/bench fitting/fabrication work
• Good physical condition and stamina to perform manual labour and work in various conditions
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities
