About The Position

NOW HIRING: Experienced Fitter. Immediate Opening for day/night shift. Responsible for fitting and assembling structural steel component using MIG and/or stick welding while following blueprint and work instructions. Location: Tallapoosa, GA. Job Shift: Day (6am-6:30pm)/ Night (6pm-6:30am). Pay Rate: 20-22+/ hr. based on experienced. MUST BE ABLE TO START IMMEDIATELY! IMMEDIATE OPENINGS!!

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months welding experience preferred
• Experience interpreting mechanical drawings required
• Ability to pass welding test/ certification
• Basic math and measuring skills required
• Able to work overtime/weekends when needed
• MUST be able to pass a Drug Screening

Nice To Haves

• Production welding experience is a plus
• AWS certification helpful but not required
• Knowledge of steel alloys, welding material, and fabrication tools preferred

Responsibilities

• Measure, align, and fit structural steel components
• Read blueprint, drawings, and weld symbols
• Set up welding tools and equipment
• Measure, cut, tack, weld, grind, and clean materials
• Read blueprints and weld symbols
• Operate welders, torches, drills, saws and other shop equipment
• Inspect finished welds for quality and accuracy
• Maintain equipment and keep work area clean
• Report equipment and keep work area clean
• Report equipment or quality issues to supervisor
