About The Position

The Bench Mechanic tears down, troubleshoots, and repairs moderate to complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic equipment and systems. The role reports to the Cell Leader and may also involve field service repairs and project work.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Strong computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office and a variety of applications.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and successfully complete multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to use written and verbal communication to convey plans and specific details to internal and external customers.
• Ability to work in difficult physical and stressful situations for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• 1–5 years of mechanic experience, including experience servicing both hydraulic and electronic products and systems.
• Thorough working knowledge of hydraulic components, including Bosch Rexroth components.
• Ability to interpret and analyze electro-hydraulic schematics.
• Basic AC/DC circuitry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting of moderate to complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components or systems.
• When necessary, perform system or machine modifications at job sites, including material fabrication, assembly, and equipment modification.
• Prepare detailed service reports using Microsoft Office and/or ERP software, including materials used, hours worked, travel expenses, and other project-related data.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with customers, co-workers, vendors, and subcontractors as a representative of Airline Hydraulics.
• Work overtime as required to complete projects.
• Perform service repairs and related projects in the field when necessary.
• Complete assigned job-related training classes.
• Perform other essential and related duties as assigned.
