About The Position
Steven Singer Jewelers is seeking an experienced Bench Jeweler for its Newtown, Pennsylvania location. This hourly role supports the sales floor and repair operations in a collaborative, fast-paced retail environment. The jeweler performs high-quality repairs, maintenance, and finishing, ensuring each piece meets company standards before it is returned to a customer. The position is available full-time or part-time, with weekends included in a regular rotating schedule. Candidates should be confident working at the bench, manage time effectively, and value precision, consistency, and craftsmanship. Applicants may provide a portfolio, website, or professional profile for review. Candidates should expect to demonstrate their bench skills during the interview process. Final candidates must successfully complete a background check. The investigation may include employment and education verification, criminal records, credit history when relevant to the position, and reference checks. Requirements
- At least 3–5 years of experience as a primary or lead bench jeweler.
- Experience with ring sizing and structural repairs.
- Experience with stone setting, including prong, channel, and basic settings.
- Experience with polishing, finishing, and rhodium dipping.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Comfort handling multiple jobs while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to demonstrate bench skills during the interview process.
- Successful completion of a background check is required for final candidates.

Responsibilities
- Perform ring sizing, stone setting, polishing, and refinishing.
- Complete rhodium dipping and final finishing work.
- Diagnose repair needs and execute appropriate solutions.
- Maintain consistency and quality across all bench work.
- Work with a variety of metals, including gold and platinum.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient bench workspace.
- Communicate clearly with team members regarding repairs and timelines.
