About The Position

Jewelers at Helzberg Diamonds provide high-quality jewelry repair services to clients of designated stores in a timely fashion, supporting store sales and a five-star shopping experience. The role manages client repairs while maintaining quality and turnaround times acceptable to clients, and helps ensure repair materials, supplies, and precious-metal recoveries are handled effectively and safely. The jeweler also helps train store associates on repair policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, two to four years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Advanced knowledge of jeweler's tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Advanced jewelry repair knowledge.
• Good decision-making ability and strong problem-solving skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the effective movement of client repairs while maintaining quality and turnaround times acceptable to clients.
• Maintain and account for gold stock, findings, and loose stones by accurately completing paperwork and properly storing materials.
• Manage supply expense dollars by maintaining adequate inventory levels without excess.
• Help maximize financial returns from precious-metal recoveries, including hard scrap, filings, sweeps, and vacuum bags, by following proper asset recovery procedures.
• Follow safety-related procedures to reduce the risk of accidents.
• Assist in training store associates on repair policies and procedures to ensure consistent communication of repair information.
