About The Position
Signet Jewelers is seeking entry-level and experienced Jewelers to join its Field Design & Service Center Team at Simi Valley Town Center in Simi Valley, California. Team members restore jewelry, perform repairs, and may design custom, one-of-a-kind jewelry depending on their current skillset. The role offers opportunities to develop from beginner to artisan through Jeweler training programs, continuous learning, and a promote-from-within environment. Pay is based on current jeweler skillset, experience, and qualifications. Full-time work consists of a 40-hour week, with seasonal required overtime and varying hours that may include some nights and weekends.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
- 1–3 years of Bench Jeweler or relevant skilled-trades experience working with fine metals.
- Pass a qualified bench test assessing current jeweler level.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Customer-service mindset and a high standard for quality work.
- Basic computer skills.
- Availability for varying hours, including some nights and weekends.
- Ability to work seasonal required overtime.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge or experience in stone setting, sizing, polishing, and jewelry repair.
- Skills in chain and clasp repair, prong re-tipping, creating stone mountings, channel and platinum rebuilds, wax carving, fabrication, casting, custom design and creation, or CAD/CAM design work.
Responsibilities
- Repair jewelry, including chain and clasp repair, prong re-tipping, minor ring repair, and other jewelry repairs.
- Set stones and create stone mountings.
- Perform channel and platinum rebuilds.
- Perform wax carving, fabrication, and casting.
- Design and create custom jewelry pieces, including CAD/CAM design work as applicable.
- Deliver a customer-first experience that exceeds customer expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs.
