About The Position

Signet Jewelers is seeking entry-level and experienced Jewelers for its Field Design & Service Center Teams. Depending on the employee’s current skillset, the role involves restoring jewelry, completing repairs, and designing custom, one-of-a-kind pieces. Team members are expected to deliver a customer-first experience that exceeds expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs. The organization offers training and continuous learning, with opportunities to advance from beginner to artisan in a promote-from-within environment. Pay is based on current jeweler skillset and experience.

Requirements

• Pass a qualified bench test to assess current jeweler level.
• Have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Be customer-service minded and maintain a high standard for quality work.
• Have basic computer skills.
• Work varying hours, including some nights and weekends.
• Work seasonal required overtime.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• 1–3 years of Bench Jeweler or relevant skilled-trades experience working with fine metals.

Responsibilities

• Restore jewelry to its original condition and perform jewelry repairs.
• Design and create custom jewelry based on current skillset.
• Deliver a customer-first experience that exceeds customer expectations for jewelry design and repairs.
• Depending on skillset, perform chain and clasp repairs, re-tip prongs, set stones, and create stone mountings.
• Perform channel and platinum rebuilds, minor ring repairs, and other jewelry repairs.
• Perform wax carving, fabrication, and casting.
• Perform CAD/CAM design work.
