About The Position

Signet Jewelers is hiring entry-level and experienced jewelers for its Field Design & Service Center Team. Bench Jewelers use their skills to restore jewelry, perform repairs, and, depending on their skillset, design and create custom jewelry. Team members provide a customer-first experience and may advance through the company’s promote-from-within environment, with jeweler training programs and continuous learning opportunities. Pay is based on current skillset, experience, and qualifications.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of bench jeweler experience or relevant skilled-trades experience working with fine metals.
• Pass a qualified bench test to assess current jeweler level.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Customer-service mindset and high standards for quality work.
• Basic computer skills.
• Varying availability, including some nights and weekends.
• Availability for seasonal required overtime.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Repair and restore jewelry, including chain and clasp repair, prong retipping, minor ring repair, and other jewelry repairs.
• Set stones and create stone mountings.
• Perform channel and platinum rebuilds.
• Carve wax, fabricate and cast jewelry.
• Design and create custom jewelry, including CAD/CAM design work where applicable.
• Deliver a customer-first experience and meet customers’ expectations for jewelry design and repairs.
