About The Position

Melanie Casey is seeking an experienced, highly skilled bench jeweler for our Level 3 position. This full-time, in-person role is suited for a jeweler who has mastered the fundamentals and is ready to take on a higher volume of complex work with exceptional consistency. Level 3 Jewelers are trusted to handle the full breadth of our product line, including our most technically demanding pieces, and to do so at an elevated pace without sacrificing quality. Hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with occasional optional overtime. Onsite only. Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates. Our Andover, MA studio Bench Jewelers are seated at a dedicated bench outfitted with a bench microscope and set a wide range of diamonds and other precious gems. Each bench also has hand tools, torch, fume extractor, ring vise, etc. Laser welders are shared amongst a handful of benches. Ideal candidates bring deep bench experience, demonstrate excellent quality discipline, and thrive in a productive studio environment. At this level, we expect jewelers to require virtually no supervision and to contribute a higher piece output each week than their Level 1 and 2 counterparts. All applicants must pass an on-site bench test to be considered for this position. The Level 3 bench test is comprehensive: you must complete a variety of tasks, all to QC standards and within a timed window. Speed and precision are equally evaluated. This position starts at $27/hour, based on bench test results and prior work experience. We employ jewelers from apprentice to master craftsperson, with a defined testing period for each level, clear production requirements, and corresponding rate increases.
