About The Position

Requirements

• 6 months of metal fabrication, heavy assembly, or similar experience
• Follow detailed verbal and written instruction while working independently
• Attention to detail and part preservation through careful handling and movement
• Push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, walk, and grasp as necessary
• Lift 50 lbs. without assistance

Responsibilities

• General metal fabrication techniques such as washing, grinding, sanding, drilling, and deburring to specification and all tools involved
• Basic knowledge of various metal types and the appropriate abrasives used to achieve required finishes
• Ability to maintain proper ergonomics preventing injury
• Interpret and work from complex drawings, blueprints and specifications
• Measuring with tape measure and/or micrometers and calipers
• Identify non-conformances during inspection of component parts and properly document such non-conformances
• Notifying supervisor when work received does not meet the specifications required by previous operations
• Responsible for recording accurate job labor using electronic tracking
• Maintain clean equipment/tools and work area
• Follow established safety procedures and use required PPE
• Achieve Crane/Hoist training (internal certification)
• Perform all other jobs as assigned
