Bell Luggage Attendant
About The Position
The Bellperson/Valet plays an important role of ensuring that all guests are greeted in a friendly, professional, and welcoming way. As a Bellperson/Valet, you will escort arriving and departing guests to and from their accommodations while transporting their luggage. You will be familiar with the property, guest room features and amenities. This role will also maintain the valet operation of the hotel for overnight, day and event guests. The Edgewater demands the highest quality of customer service, and the Bellperson/Valet position reflects that as you are often times the first person they meet upon their arrival. The Bellperson/Valet position is where your hard work ethic and exceptional customer service skills are appreciated and recognized by both the guests and The Edgewater Team.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
- Previous guest service experience.
- Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
- Ability to stand and move throughout the property while continuously performing essential job functions along with bending, stopping, kneeling, running, and walking significant distance on property.
- Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to grasp, lift, and/or carry boxes and luggage up to 50 pounds continuously throughout shift.
- A caring, positive attitude with a genuine interest in ensuring our customers have memorable experiences.
- A team-oriented attitude and a detail-focused mind.
- A flexible schedule to accommodate night, weekend, and holiday availability.
