About The Position

The Bellman delivers exceptional guest service and works closely with the Front Desk team serves as one of the first and last points of contact for our distinguished guests, providing exceptional service that reflects our commitment to excellence. The Bellman’s Responsibilities include warmly greeting arriving guests, efficiently handling luggage and personal belongings, escorting guests to their rooms while providing property orientation, coordinating with valet and concierge services, arranging transportation, and ensuring seamless arrivals and departures. You will anticipate guest needs and deliver personalized service that creates memorable experiences befitting a world-class luxury hotel. The ideal candidate is a polished hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced luxury environment, enjoys engaging with guests, and is passionate about creating memorable experiences.

Requirements

  • Exceptional Customer Service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry luggage up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
  • Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with Forbes 5-Star service standards.
  • Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate guest needs before they are expressed
  • Ability to tolerate moderate amounts of walking.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel, resort, or upscale hospitality setting preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, and transportation options.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality education is a plus.
  • Experience with Forbes Travel Guide standards is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Front Desk team to help guests get to their rooms smoothly and deliver their luggage and belongings.
  • Maintain warm and hospitable guest relations in all guest contact.
  • Responsible for responding to individual guest needs as they occur.
  • Greet guests and offer to unload luggage during valet hand off.
  • Escort incoming/new arrival guests to front desk.
  • Assist guests with luggage and deliver luggage to guest rooms.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of hotel services, promotions, dining outlets, and local attractions to enhance the guest experience.
  • Deliver messages, packages/mail, luggage, and run errands as needed.
  • Properly keep records of calls for service.
  • Keep the storage room neat and clean.
  • Polish, clean and maintain equipment and bell carts.
  • Report all items in need of repair to supervisors/managers and maintain equipment used.
  • Protect guest safety and well-being; be courteous to all guests and colleagues.
  • Adjust to high pressure conditions and is open to change.
