About The Position

The Four Seasons Chicago is seeking a hybrid Bell Attendant / Driver to provide a welcoming experience for guests upon check-in and a sense of gratitude upon departure. This role involves offering complimentary rides to guests in the luxurious house car. As an integral part of the Guest Services Team, the main objective is to ensure guests are well looked after from the moment they arrive. The Chicago property is a vibrant hub featuring a newly transformed restaurant, 345 elegant guest rooms and suites, and a luxury spa, located near the Magnificent Mile.

Requirements

  • Previous guest services experience preferably in a luxury resort/hotel.
  • The ability to lift up to 100 lbs. and push a cart up to 200 lbs.
  • The ability to work in warm or cold temperatures outdoors.
  • Team player with an attitude of being ready and willing to help where and when needed around the resort.
  • Required to hold a clean driving record and a current driving license.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
  • Resolve customer complaints and assist customers with all inquiries related to hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, and directions.
  • Greet guests and escort them to their rooms.
  • Deliver luggage to rooms upon check-in and pick up luggage from rooms upon departure, moving it to storage or the Front Drive.
  • Maintain proper records of deliveries and pickups.
  • Greet all guests passing through the lobby and offer assistance.
  • Perform shoeshine service, including picking up, cleaning, polishing, and returning shoes to guest rooms.
  • Perform errands for guests and the hotel that may require local travel off of the hotel property.
  • Assist with responsibilities and duties in the absence or heavy volume in the areas of bell, door, and/or valet teams, complying with job descriptions of all areas.
  • Drive guests in the hotel car to requested destinations.
  • Run errands requested by management based on operational needs.
  • Adhere to all traffic regulations and speed limits, using caution not to damage the vehicle being driven or other vehicles in the vicinity.
  • Yield to pedestrians.
  • Provide a high level of cleanliness for the vehicle and communicate routine checks on the vehicle for service issues or maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned when necessary.
