The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will provide clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to individuals with Autism and related developmental disabilities in the inpatient and outpatient medical settings. The RBT will collect data on programs, assist with caregiver training, and assist the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with clinical assessment as needed. RBTs work under the supervision of a BCBA-D or BCBA. RBT conduct is at all times in accordance with the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB) Code of Ethical Conduct. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provides direct client care in 1:1 settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements. Follows the prescribed behavioral skills acquisition and behavior reduction protocols and takes data in line with each protocol. Assists with parent and caregiver training in line with client’s individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols. Assists BCBA in preparing client materials as instructed. Assists in data entry, material organization, and clinic space set up on a daily basis. Collaborates with others in the medical environment, including client, parents and caregivers, medical providers, other hospital staff and professionals, coworkers. Participates in team clinical meetings and supervision. Other duties as assigned
