About The Position

The Behavioral Health Tech (BHT) position requires a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician. The role is located in Vallejo and operates on a night shift from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a schedule of 5 x 8-hour shifts. The specific days off are not set, but typically include working every other weekend. The position does not require on-call availability. Candidates must have worked in the submitted unit specialty within the last 3 months. Mental Health Techs will not be considered for this role.

Requirements

• Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 1 year of psychiatric experience.
• Must have worked in the submitted unit specialty within the last 3 months.
• Cannot accept Mental Health Techs.

Nice To Haves

• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred. CPI can be attained on site.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
• Work night shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Work approximately 5 x 8-hour shifts per week.
• Work every other weekend as needed.
• Adhere to unit specialty requirements, having worked in the field within the last 3 months.
