About The Position
People Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Intervention Specialist to provide person-centered, trauma-informed behavioral services to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The specialist serves as the clinical lead for behavioral supports within assigned programs, with work focused on improving quality-of-life outcomes. The position follows a Monday–Friday hybrid schedule in Western New York and pays $32–$35 per hour.
Requirements
- A master’s degree in social work, psychology, applied behavior analysis, or a related clinical field; or BCBA certification; or an LMHC, LMSW, or LCSW license; or a New York State license in mental health counseling.
- Valid driver’s license that meets agency policy.

Responsibilities
- Conduct functional behavior assessments.
- Develop and revise behavior support plans.
- Provide hands-on coaching and modeling to direct support professionals (DSPs) and program leads.
- Analyze behavioral data and adjust interventions accordingly.
