DYS is seeking a Behavioral Healthcare Provider 1 to oversee facility behavioral healthcare functions. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a solid background and a passion to habilitate youth. This role involves providing behavioral health services for an assigned caseload of youth at Circleville Juvenile Correctional Facility, including assessments, treatment planning, individual, group, and/or family interventions, and crisis intervention. The provider will also offer liaison services with families, regional offices, juvenile parole officers, release authorities, schools, and community support services. Responsibilities include completing discharges and aftercare planning, providing facility orientation to youth and parents/guardians, representing Behavioral Healthcare Services on the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDT), coordinating team member participation, gathering documentation, participating in case staffing, documenting clinical summaries, and establishing working relationships with other facilities and agencies. The role also involves contacting parents/guardians in emergencies, meeting with visitors, maintaining written and/or electronic documentation, attending meetings and court hearings, and pursuing professional growth. The State of Ohio is a drug-free workplace and this position may be subject to additional restrictions. A criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening are required. New hires must complete a mandatory 6-week training program.
