This position works under clinical supervision and requires considerable knowledge of behavioral healthcare programs and program techniques. As a member of an interdisciplinary mental health treatment team, the provider is responsible for assigned mental health interventions for a caseload of mentally ill criminal offenders. The role involves conducting screenings, risk assessments, and providing individual and group clinical interventions as prescribed on the individual mental health treatment plan. The provider will also offer psychosocial group interventions, serve as a mental health liaison, and complete psychosocial needs and treatment assessments. Additionally, the position requires completing transfer and discharge summaries, consulting with other institution staff, initiating and maintaining contact with families and community agencies, and writing reports and documentation. The role also includes attending supervision meetings and in-service training sessions for professional development.
