About The Position

The Crisis Response Team (CRT) is at the forefront of North Range Behavioral Health's commitment to ensuring that no one faces a behavioral health crisis alone. Serving individuals and families throughout Weld County and a 12-county region in Northeast Colorado, our team provides compassionate, timely, and clinically excellent crisis intervention when people need it most. As a member of the Crisis Response Team, you will work alongside dedicated professionals who thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments where critical thinking, empathy, and clinical expertise come together to make an immediate difference. Whether responding to emergency walk-ins, crisis calls, mobile crisis situations, or after-hours needs, you will conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments, develop individualized intervention plans, and help individuals access the least restrictive, most appropriate level of care. Beyond immediate crisis intervention, our team plays an essential role in supporting long-term recovery and stability. You will partner with hospitals, community providers, first responders, families, and internal clinical teams to coordinate care, facilitate smooth transitions from higher levels of care, and connect clients with resources that promote lasting wellness. This position includes eligibility for a monthly performance bonus.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in the Human Services field from an accredited college or university, or a degree in another area a study with one year of mental health/substance use experience.
Valid Colorado driver’s license with an insurable driving record.

Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus and highly valued but not required.

Responsibilities

Foster a safe, compassionate, and recovery-oriented environment where individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis are treated with dignity, respect, and hope throughout their care.
Support clients in navigating daily activities, treatment participation, and program expectations while encouraging stability, personal growth, and progress toward recovery goals.
Welcome and orient individuals to services by providing education, guidance, and encouragement that promotes engagement, trust, and successful adjustment to the treatment environment.
Observe, assess, and communicate changes in client presentation, behaviors, or needs to the interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure timely, coordinated, and person-centered care.
Partner with clinical staff to facilitate therapeutic groups, skills-building activities, and individual interventions that promote healing, resilience, and recovery.
Safely transport clients to and from appointments, community resources, hospitals, or other destinations as needed to support continuity of care during routine and crisis situations.
Promote client wellness by assisting with meals, wellness checks, and other daily living supports in accordance with individualized care plans while maintaining a therapeutic and supportive presence.
Respond confidently and compassionately to behavioral health crises, medical emergencies, and other critical situations by implementing individualized crisis intervention strategies designed to ensure the safety of clients, staff, and the community.
Utilize trauma-informed verbal de-escalation techniques as the primary intervention, applying seclusion or physical interventions only when necessary, in accordance with agency policy, regulatory standards, and best practices.
Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions that promote safety, emotional regulation, and therapeutic engagement while preserving each client's dignity and autonomy whenever possible.
Contribute to a culture of safety by supporting emergency preparedness efforts, maintaining compliance with safety standards, and helping clients understand emergency procedures and expectations.
Build positive, therapeutic relationships with clients and collaborate with families, guardians, natural supports, and community partners to strengthen recovery and promote successful transitions of care.
Maintain accurate, timely, and ethical clinical documentation and operational records that support high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and appropriate reimbursement for services provided.
Collaborate as an engaged member of a multidisciplinary Crisis Response Team, demonstrating North Range Behavioral Health's commitment to Compassion, Collaboration, and Customer First in every client interaction.
