About The Position

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Behavioral Health Therapist to deliver comprehensive counseling services to individuals, families, and groups, primarily serving senior and disabled adults with diverse behavioral health diagnoses. As part of an interdisciplinary care team, the therapist conducts patient assessments, develops and executes individualized care plans, and facilitates therapeutic group sessions to support patient outcomes and overall well-being.

The position is based at 1202 Highway 60, Socorro, NM 87801-3914. It is a full-time, exempt role with a 1.00 FTE and a day shift.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in counseling or social work.
• 1–3 years of experience in clinical therapy.
• Licensure required: LCSW or LPCC preferred; LMSW will be accepted with a commitment to test for LCSW within one year.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy tailored to the needs of senior and disabled adult populations.
• Conduct clinical assessments and design, implement, and adjust individualized plans of care.
• Design and facilitate creative, interactive group activities to promote engagement and therapeutic effectiveness.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care and support patient health outcomes.
• Help patients and families navigate and access community resources and support services.
