About The Position

Helen Newberry Joy Hospital & Healthcare Center is seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist to support behavioral health integration within primary care. The therapist conducts individual and group sessions, assesses patients and families, and develops and implements psychosocial treatment plans using appropriate clinical interventions. The role also includes consultation with primary care providers, participation in the Collaborative Care Program, and support for Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Program procedures and policies. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, in Newberry, Michigan. Salary depends on experience.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work.
• At least two years of experience as a therapist.
• Current Michigan license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
• BLS certification required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Promote and actively engage in behavioral health integration within primary care.
• Conduct therapy sessions with individuals or groups.
• Formulate, develop, and implement comprehensive psychosocial treatment plans using appropriate clinical treatments and interventions.
• Provide psychosocial assessments of patients, clients, and families to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and problems related to diagnosis, illness, treatment, or life situation.
• Ensure programmatic data is collected, analyzed, and presented as necessary.
• Assist in developing and distributing Behavioral Health Program and Substance Abuse Program procedures and policies.
• Consult with primary care providers to enhance understanding of patients and clients, provide decision support for treatment planning, and assist with implementing and monitoring biopsychosocial treatment plans.
• Document patient- and client-related interactions and complete progress notes and discharge plans in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and RHC regulations.
• Participate in the Collaborative Care Program.
