About The Position

Helen Newberry Joy Hospital & Healthcare Center is hiring a full-time Behavioral Health Therapist (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in Newberry, Michigan. The role supports behavioral health integration in primary care and provides therapy, psychosocial assessment, treatment planning, consultation, and documentation. The therapist also contributes to program procedures and policies and participates in the Collaborative Care Program. The position is Monday through Friday, with salary dependent on experience.

Requirements

Master's degree in Social Work.
At least two years of experience as a therapist.
Current Michigan license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
BLS certification required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

Promote and actively engage in behavioral health integration within primary care.
Conduct therapy sessions with individuals or groups.
Formulate, develop, and implement comprehensive psychosocial treatment plans using appropriate clinical treatments and interventions.
Provide psychosocial assessments of patients/clients and families to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and problems related to diagnosis, illness, treatment, or life situation.
Ensure adequate programmatic data is collected, analyzed, and presented as necessary.
Assist in the development and distribution of Behavioral Health Program and Substance Abuse Program procedures and policies.
Consult with primary care providers to enhance understanding of patients/clients, provide decision support for treatment planning, and assist with implementation and monitoring of biopsychosocial treatment plans.
Document patient/client interactions and complete progress notes and discharge plans in a timely manner.
Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPPA and RHC regulations.
Participate in the Collaborative Care Program.
