About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers. They are currently hiring Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) for all shifts at their Prince Frederick location. This role involves providing day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams, engaging with clients to foster a supportive recovery environment, monitoring clients and enforcing Avenues policies to ensure safety, recording and escalating critical communications or incidents, and fulfilling various administrative duties. The Prince Frederick facility is a 93-bed residential center offering detox and inpatient rehabilitation services in a newly remodeled, inviting environment, with a medical and clinical team available 24/7.

Requirements

If in recovery, a minimum one - year period of sustained sobriety required
Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills
Warm, compassionate and empathetic personality
Dignified character that models recovery principles

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or GED preferred
Valid Driver's license and CPR certification preferred

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.)
Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment
Monitor clients and enforce all Avenues policies to ensure safety of both clients and staff
Record and escalate any critical communication/ incidents in a timely manner
Fulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support etc.)
