About The Position

The Behavioral Health Technician at WE LEVEL UP is responsible for providing direct care and support to individuals with behavioral health challenges. The role involves assisting clients in developing coping strategies, monitoring their progress, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. The technician will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized treatment plans that promote mental well-being and recovery.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • RADT Certification
  • CPR Certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a behavioral health setting.
  • Experience with patient care in mental health facilities or similar environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to observe and document patient behavior accurately.
  • Proficiency in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in patient care.
  • Basic computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of treatment plans designed by clinical staff.
  • Monitor and document client behavior, progress, and any significant changes.
  • Provide support and guidance to clients in managing daily activities and developing life skills.
  • Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for clients by following established protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with therapists, counselors, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.
  • Facilitate group activities and therapeutic sessions under the supervision of clinical staff.
  • Respond to crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with clients and team members.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge in behavioral health care.
