About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician for the evening shift (3 p.m.–11 p.m.) at its Lake Ariel location. The role supports daily operations at a residential drug and alcohol treatment facility, including detox and inpatient rehabilitation services. The technician helps maintain a warm, positive, and recovery-focused environment while supporting clients and the Behavioral Health Technician team.

Requirements

• One year of experience in the recovery field.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• A warm, empathetic personality and the ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• For applicants in recovery, a minimum of one year of sustained sobriety is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily residential operations, including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications.
• Train and support the Behavioral Health Technician team in its operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment.
• Ensure clients and Behavioral Health Technicians comply with Avenues rules, policies, and procedures.
