About The Position

The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, staff, and all others contacting the clinic for assistance. Duties include working as part of a team to deliver quality patient care by assisting patients and clinical staff with documentation support, ensuring video and technology is functioning for telehealth appointments, escorting patients to and from appointments, and completion of administrative tasks that support the work of the behavioral health providers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate standard office equipment including scanner, computer, calculator, copy machine, fax and multi-line telephone.
  • Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and ability to access the internet.
  • Ability to be helpful and sensitive to the needs of all employees, while concurrently respecting corporate policies, procedures and priorities.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers.
  • Ability to communicate job-related information to individuals and small groups.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; plan your own work schedule effectively and multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to read and understand written materials.
  • Must regard working as confidential.
  • Must have a current driver’s license, qualify for commercial vehicle insurance and maintain a driving record that allows insurability with Axis' insurance agency.
  • Active BLS, a current TB result and proof of Flu vaccination (October-March) will be required in order to attend New Employee Orientation.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree in medical and mental health fields are preferred.
  • Preferred experience and preferred education described.
