About The Position

This position is with one of our clients in a Home Health agency that's dedicated to taking care of its clients. A Behavior Health Technician’s (BHT) main responsibility is to provide support and care for the residents residing in the residential home and to maintain a safe environment within the residential home.

Requirements

  • Applicant must be 18+ years of age or older.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Read, Write & Speak English Clearly
  • Valid AZ Driver's License
  • Clean driving record
  • Possess a Level One Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC)
  • CPR/First aid training
  • Reliable transportation to get to and from the assigned work setting

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred or High school diploma or GED minimum, with 2-year experience in human services or related field

Responsibilities

  • Complete ongoing training, to include CPR and First Aid.
  • Participate in Monthly Team Meetings and seek help when needed.
  • Assist with resident admission and discharge.
  • Follow daily activities schedule.
  • Oversee resident's completion of ADL’s.
  • Follow unit rules and schedules to provide consistency.
  • Assist in the Self-Administration of Medication.
  • Complete Daily Progress Notes.
  • Maintain all ADHS licensing standards.
  • Document utilizing comprehensive written and computer skills.
  • BHT's assist residents by modeling and teaching Activities of Daily Living skills (ADL’s) including but not limited to behavioral management
  • Facilitating therapeutic recreational and social life skills.
