About The Position
This position is with one of our clients in a Home Health agency that's dedicated to taking care of its clients. A Behavior Health Technician’s (BHT) main responsibility is to provide support and care for the residents residing in the residential home and to maintain a safe environment within the residential home.
Requirements
- Applicant must be 18+ years of age or older.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic Computer Skills
- Read, Write & Speak English Clearly
- Valid AZ Driver's License
- Clean driving record
- Possess a Level One Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC)
- CPR/First aid training
- Reliable transportation to get to and from the assigned work setting
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred or High school diploma or GED minimum, with 2-year experience in human services or related field
Responsibilities
- Complete ongoing training, to include CPR and First Aid.
- Participate in Monthly Team Meetings and seek help when needed.
- Assist with resident admission and discharge.
- Follow daily activities schedule.
- Oversee resident's completion of ADL’s.
- Follow unit rules and schedules to provide consistency.
- Assist in the Self-Administration of Medication.
- Complete Daily Progress Notes.
- Maintain all ADHS licensing standards.
- Document utilizing comprehensive written and computer skills.
- BHT's assist residents by modeling and teaching Activities of Daily Living skills (ADL’s) including but not limited to behavioral management
- Facilitating therapeutic recreational and social life skills.
