About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician for the evening shift at its Lake Ariel location. The role manages daily residential operations, supports and trains the BHT team, and helps maintain a positive recovery environment while ensuring clients and staff follow Avenues policies and procedures. Avenues Recovery Center at Lake Ariel is a 60-bed residential facility providing drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation services, with round-the-clock supervision and care.

Requirements

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with the ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of experience in the recovery field.
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily residential operations, including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications.
• Train and support the BHT team in operational duties and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment.
• Ensure clients and BHTs comply with Avenues rules, policies, and procedures.
