About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician for the evening shift, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., at its Lake Ariel residential facility. The facility provides drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation services. The Behavioral Health Technician manages daily residential operations, supports and trains the BHT team, helps maintain client engagement and morale, and ensures compliance with Avenues policies and procedures. Concerns and crises are escalated to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.

Requirements

One year of experience in the recovery field.
If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Warm, empathetic personality and ability to set firm boundaries.
Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Valid driver's license preferred.
CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage daily residential operations, including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications.
Train and support the Behavioral Health Technician team in operations and responsibilities.
Escalate concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
Oversee client engagement and morale and maintain a warm, positive recovery environment.
Ensure clients and BHTs comply with Avenues rules, policies, and procedures.
