2nd Shift Behavioral Health Technician
About The Position
At Wood Violet Recovery, our team provides a safe, supportive environment for adults receiving residential treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. As a 2nd Shift Behavioral Health Technician, you'll be an important part of our clients' daily experience — providing support, encouragement, and structure during the evening hours when connection and consistency matter most. Whether you're beginning a career in behavioral health or bringing experience from healthcare, social services, customer service, or another people-focused field, this is an opportunity to do meaningful work while being part of a compassionate team dedicated to changing lives.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- The ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Nice To Haves
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, healthcare, social services, customer service, or related fields.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring the facility and conducting routine client safety and wellness checks.
- Providing support and encouragement to clients throughout the evening.
- Helping maintain a calm, respectful, and therapeutic environment.
- Assisting with daily client routines, activities, and programming as needed.
- Responding appropriately to client needs, emergencies, and crisis situations.
- Documenting observations, safety checks, and client interactions accurately and timely.
- Providing transportation for approved appointments when necessary.
- Completing light housekeeping and organizational tasks to help maintain a clean, comfortable environment.
- Collaborating with nursing, clinical, and operations teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Supporting clients with professionalism, empathy, dignity, and respect.
