About The Position

Holman Recovery Center is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to join their team for the night shift. The center's mission is to provide compassionate care to individuals with substance use disorders in a supportive, non-judgmental residential environment. Requirements

  • Must demonstrate professionalism and appropriate boundaries in all interactions with team members and clients.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Willingness to work with adults who may possess some behavioral challenges.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to speak effectively in front of groups.
  • High school diploma.
  • At least one year of experience relevant to the primary responsibilities of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting clients with any questions or needs.
  • Processing new client intake inventory.
  • Ensuring full compliance to HRC protocols and procedures.
  • Facilitating Peer groups as assigned.
  • Transportation of clients being picked up for intake or drop off for discharges.
  • Completing documentation as pertains to groups and client incidents.
  • Facilitating discharge of clients including all documentation.
  • Providing services to individuals, including living skills, case management, and social support.
  • Assisting staff and clients with laundry, dishes, housekeeping, and garbage disposal.
  • Facilitating client self-administration of medication.
  • Providing information to the treatment team to inform treatment decision making.
  • Assisting clients in crisis situations involving social, emotional, health, and other obstacles.
  • Answering and responding to calls at Holman Recovery Center.
  • Linking clients to available resources in the community post-treatment.
  • Monitoring recreation, physical fitness, and appropriate leisure activities.
  • Identification of verbal and non-verbal cues for potential aggressive behavior and application of de-escalation techniques.
  • Providing oversight to clients during housekeeping, meal service, and various daily activities.
  • Facilitating room changes and bed checks.
  • Facilitating smoke breaks for clients.
  • Transporting clients to medical appointments.
  • Covering staff shortages as needed.
  • Serving as backup for client tour, change out and UA.
  • Assisting clients in adherence to “client daily schedule “.
