About The Position
Compassion Behavioral Health (CBH) is seeking a passionate individual to join our Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) department at our PHP Location in Fort Lauderdale. CBH is a private treatment program in Florida dedicated to providing comprehensive care for adult men and women struggling with mental health and substance use disorders. Requirements
- Must have a clear and valid Driver's License.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with the Mental Health Population is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide care and close supervision of facility patients and document behavior.
- Develop positive relationships with patients and co-workers.
- Follow facility policies and procedures, implement treatment plans, and provide crisis intervention as necessary.
- Actively participate as part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, and interaction.
- Act as a role model in using appropriate counseling skills by de-escalating aggression, using active listening skills, using appropriate tone and volume of voice, providing a high frequency and variety of positive reinforcements, maintaining appropriate boundaries, and promoting a positive peer culture.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the clinical team and the patients of CBH.
- Work closely with the department head to meet department goals.
