About The Position

Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers (DTAC) is seeking dependable and compassionate Behavioral Health Technicians to support male adolescents in our residential treatment program. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to start or grow a career in behavioral health while making a meaningful difference in the lives of youth.

Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or GED
  • Strong reliability and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work with adolescents in a structured environment
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain PA clearances (Act 33, Criminal History, FBI Act 73)
  • Ability to pass Safe Crisis Management training

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with youth or in residential/behavioral health settings
  • Interest in pursuing a career in human services or behavioral health

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of residents
  • Support appropriate behavior and social interaction
  • Document daily activities, progress notes, and staff logs
  • Assist with structured programming and recreational activities
  • Participate in on-site and off-site activities with residents
  • Engage youth in one-on-one interactions when appropriate
  • Support youth in meeting treatment plan goals
  • Co-facilitate group activities and assist clinical staff as needed
  • Maintain communication with staff regarding shift availability and updates
